The Lodge opened in April 2007. The original farmhouse was extended during the 1980s. This new building resulted in a luxurious country residence constructed in the attractive local limestone. We have converted this to provide ample living accommodation for our Key Stage 2 & 3 pupils with a ‘homely’ feel. The Lodge faces the front of the school with views across formal gardens.
The students on The Lodge are older and more independent than those on The Bungalow but younger and without the freedoms afforded to older boys on the Loft and Crossroads house groups.
Recently the Lodge went on Annual camp in the Peak District. Other recent trips include:
Individual music lessons
Sports Hall sessions
Rutland Water trips
Shopping in Peterborough
All students treated individually
Carefully planned structure and routine with flexibility to meet individual needs
Each student is seen as a young adult striving for success
Talking and self reflection is key
Calm and reflective environment
Protect students and do our best to keep them safe
Emphasis placed on laughter and humour
We want students to learn to manage and take responsibility for their own behaviour
