Results & Outcomes

Our dedicated approach to individualised education ensures that each learner reaches their full potential, both academically and personally. With a strong emphasis on emotional well-being and holistic development, our learners consistently demonstrate significant improvements in their academic performance, social skills, and self-confidence.

This year we have had a really lovely mix of learners taking qualifications, from academic learners who have achieved grades they were aspiring to, to those who have persevered through significant challenges in their education and gone on to achieve a broad range of qualifications. Our pass rate has increased since last year, with nearly all subjects achieving 100%. In addition to the subjects listed below, learners have also successfully completed qualifications in Computer Science, History, Engineering, PE BTEC, and Drama. The summary of grades is as follows:

  • Maths – A total of 18 learners sat a Maths exam this year and we are thrilled to say that every single one achieved a grade in Maths this year, with 44% reaching a Level 4 or above.

  • English – Again, every learner passed in English, and 90% achieved a Grade 4 or above. With 10 learners working hard towards this exam this year, this is a fantastic reflection of their commitment and progress.

  • Science – Science continues to be a strong area for the 12 learners who took the exams this year, with 100% of learners passing across the subjects. In Chemistry and Physics, 50% of learners achieved a Grade 4 or above, while 38% did so in Biology.

  • Vocational subjects - This year we expanded our vocational offer, introducing Health and Fitness alongside are usual qualifications such as: City & Guilds courses in Mechanics, Bricklaying, Woodwork and Cooking. Learners also achieved BHS Horse Riding awards and Animal Care qualifications, all designed to build practical skills for life beyond Wilds. Functional Skills results showed a significant improvement, with over 50% of learners passing in both Maths and English, reflecting their hard work and determination.

The Head, Mr Oakley, says; “We had such a high turnout on results morning, which is especially notable as many of our young people find situations like this very daunting. This reflects not just their efforts in recent examinations, but also their progress and resilience throughout their time at Wilds Lodge, alongside the dedication and expertise of our staff. The wide range of subjects and vocational opportunities we offer has allowed every learner to shine in their own way, and we are incredibly proud of all they have achieved.”
