School Day
At Wilds Lodge, we follow a typical school day, starting at 9am and finish at 3:30pm. However, within this familiar structure, we provide something quite different for our learners. We seek to create a peaceful and reflective learning environment.
Our goal is to provide a holistic and inclusive education tailored to the diverse needs of our neurodiverse learners. We are dedicated to fostering an environment where all learners can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, embracing their individuality and empowering them to become confident, capable, and compassionate members of the school community and society.
Timings of the day:
Educational Approach:
- Differentiated Instruction: We employ a range of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and needs, ensuring that every learner can access the curriculum effectively.
- Small Class Sizes: Our small class sizes allow for personalised attention and a supportive environment, enabling each learner to receive the individual support they need.
- Inclusive Curriculum: Our curriculum includes content that reflects and respects diverse experiences and viewpoints, fostering a sense of belonging and respect for all cultures and identities.
- Supportive Environment: We create sensory-friendly classrooms and provide appropriate accommodations to ensure that all learners can work in a comfortable and conducive setting.
Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) : Our programs emphasise the development of social skills, emotional intelligence, and positive relationships, preparing learners for successful interactions within and beyond the school environment.
