Parent/Carer Forum

What is it?

It is a space for parents and carers to meet some staff and each other. Each session will have staff talking about some of the things we do at Wilds Lodge School and it is your opportunity to ask questions.

When and where are these meetings held?

Our meetings will take place on the first Friday of each  half term at 13:30 PM. To accommodate different preferences and circumstances, these sessions will be held both online and in person. This flexibility ensures that everyone can participate, regardless of their location or schedule constraints. The link to join the virtual sessions can be accessed via our school newsletter, and will be sent out the day before the meeting via normal parent communication channels.

Session Breakdown:

  1. Hybrid Format: Participants can join either in person at Wilds or via online. This setup provides a welcoming environment for all attendees (Light Refreshments Served)

  2. Time and Duration: Each meeting will start promptly at 12:30 PM and will typically last for 1.5 to 2 hours, allowing for comprehensive discussion and interaction.

Each meeting will include time for parents to share their experiences, challenges, and successes. This open forum will be a space for mutual support, advice, and encouragement.

We look forward to these meetings as a valuable time for learning, connection, and support. Whether you're attending in person or online, your participation enriches our community and provides invaluable insights and companionship.

Additional  Activities and Opportunities:

  • Social Outings: We will organise social outings for members and learners, creating  a sense of community and providing a supportive network. These outings, ranging from casual park visits to more structured events, will offer opportunities for learners to interact and parents to connect.

  • Community Involvement: We encourage active community engagement, including participation in local events and initiatives that align with our values. Our group will collaborate with local organisations and other schools to support broader community efforts, such as charity drives, volunteer work, and advocacy for inclusive practices.

Thank you very much for hosting last night. Just want to say again how marvellous the staff are at Wilds lodge. The meeting was useful, as you said, many have battled to arrive at this place of tranquility so it’s wonderful the school is trying to liaise with parents.
